Agent UI Refresh
in progress
Dave Sibiski
We're revamping the AutoElevate agent dialog UI to better match modern Windows (especially Windows 11) — a cleaner, more current look for the prompts your end users see during elevation requests.
This is actively in development and is the first step in a larger effort to modernize the agent experience.
Taking shape
- A refreshed dialog design aligned with modern Windows styling
- A clearer, more polished experience for end users

This is really important for us. As a new AE customer, the user password prompt dialog in particular has been a pain point during rollout. Dated interface aside, we believe it should only have a single field for entering the user's password (the current 2 fields for enter & confirm have led to confusion, with users thinking they were being prompted to set a new password), and AE should perform a credential test to verify the password entered is correct after clicking OK (rather than the current process of simply accepting the password and putting the user in a loop if it's entered incorrectly, with no feedback given to the user as to why authentication isn't working).
