AutoElevate: What's New
AutoElevate Mobile App (Beta) - 2026-10-30
New Features
- Technicians can now approve Technician Mode and Just-in-Time Log In requests from a push notification, without scanning a QR code. Requires Windows agent v2.11.2780 or later.
- QR codes shown by the agent can now be scanned with the phone's built-in camera, which opens the request directly in the AutoElevate app. Requires Windows agent v2.11.2780 or later.
- Elevation request details now show the antivirus and EDR products detected on the computer. Requires Windows agent v2.11.2780 or later; Mac requests show "n/a".
- Just-in-Time Domain Log-In can now create a domain user with no groups selected, placing the account only in its Organizational Unit.
Refinements
- Just-in-Time Log In requests are submitted automatically when Local Groups is the only option and just one group is authorized.
- Just-in-Time Log In requests now offer the "Users" group alongside other local groups. Choosing only "Users" signs the person in as a standard user, and the app explains this.
- Approval options, such as session lengths, now match what each computer's platform supports.
- Security updates.
Bug Fixes
- Fixes an issue where the app showed a generic error when a Just-in-Time Log In request failed. It now shows the specific error returned by the server.

Refinements
- The agent no longer downloads its settings and rules again every time its service starts, which reduces network traffic and speeds up restarts.
Bug Fixes
- Fixes an issue where local groups added during a Just-in-Time session were not always removed when the session ended.
- Fixes an issue where a Just-in-Time Domain Log-In request that had already failed could be processed again.
- Fixes an issue where approved Just-in-Time Domain Log-In requests could stay in processing without creating the domain account when no user was signed in to the domain controller.

AutoElevate Windows Agent v2.11.2780 (Canary) - 2026-10-22
This build is available on the Canary agent update channel.
New Features
- Reports the antivirus and endpoint protection products detected on each computer, shown on Elevation Requests and computer details.
Refinements
- Just-in-Time Domain Log-In users can now be created with no groups selected, for environments that assign permissions through the Organizational Unit.
- Technician Mode ticket setup now continues when ticket types can't be loaded, so the technician can leave Type empty and finish the form. Ticketing systems that require a ticket type still stop at this step.
- The agent no longer downloads its settings and rules again after a service restart when nothing has changed, reducing load after updates and reboots.
- Security updates.
Bug Fixes
- Fixes an issue where Just-in-Time Log In failed on domain-joined computers when the domain controller could not be found. It now falls back to an online, local-only request instead of the offline QR code.
- Fixes an issue where the Domain Controller agent could stop responding while removing group memberships from a Just-in-Time account, stalling further Just-in-Time Domain Log-In requests until it was restarted.
- Fixes an issue where approved Just-in-Time Domain Log-In requests stayed in processing until they expired when no user was signed in to the domain controller.
- Fixes an issue where a failed Just-in-Time Domain Log-In request was retried repeatedly until it expired, which could make a later retry fail.

New Features
- Adds a Last Sign-In column to the Users grid, so you can spot stale or inactive accounts at a glance.
- Adds a column to the Users grid showing whether each user signs in with SSO or a local account.
- The Elevation Events grid now shows when a rule has already been created from an event, so admins don't create duplicate rules.
- Elevation Requests and the Computers grid now show the antivirus or endpoint security product detected on each computer. Requires Windows agent v2.11.2780 or later, currently on the Canary channel.
- Adds Partner API endpoints for managing elevation rules, users and computer actions.

- Fixes an issue where Autotask time entries for elevations could fail with a "TimeEntry.RoleID" error when a technician's Autotask role differed from the Default Role.
- Fixes an issue where deleting a company linked to a ticketing system showed a false error about associated Locations, Rules, Settings or Users.
- Fixes an issue where "Convert to rule" on a Blocker Event created a rule with no action.
- Fixes an issue where adding a setting that already existed at the same level appeared to succeed but discarded the new value. A clear message now appears instead.

AutoElevate: What's New
AutoElevate Admin Portal & API - 2026-10-19
New Features
- Adds an optional proxy for the Syncro integration, so Syncro API traffic comes from a fixed set of IP addresses for tenants that use an IP allow list. Contact support@autoelevate.com to have it set up.
- Blocker Rule changes are now recorded in the Audit Logs, showing which user created, edited or deleted each rule.
- Adds a "New Portal Coming" item to the sidebar menu, with links to try the new admin portal (Beta) and to the support article about the switch. The current portal will also be available at legacy.autoelevate.com.
Refinements
- Ticket integration notes now include the computer's Location, alongside Company and Computer.
- Permissions for viewing and managing agent builds have been renamed to describe more clearly what they allow. Existing roles keep the same access.

Bug Fixes
- Fixes an issue where the All Users and All Roles options in the Just-in-Time Log In Authorization setting were ignored by older clients, including older mobile app versions, so every approver was rejected.
