Agent Tamper Protection Mode
planned

We're planning a tamper protection mode that prevents the AutoElevate agent from being stopped or disabled on a protected machine — even by a local administrator.
This adds an extra layer of security, helping ensure the agent stays active and your elevation policies remain enforced on every endpoint.

Can we still stop/restart through RMM?

Doug Thomas: Good question, and one we've specifically tested.
Yes. Tamper protection is designed to prevent a local administrator from stopping, disabling, or reconfiguring the agent, while leaving SYSTEM-level control intact — so your RMM-driven stop/start and maintenance workflows continue to work.
We're still finalizing the scope of the initial release, particularly around agent removal/uninstall, and we'll post updates here as that firms up. If there are specific RMM workflows you'd want us to validate against, let us know.
